Research Funding in Teacher Education

The Leibniz School of Education is an exchange platform for teacher educators in Hannover, adding value to its participating partners in line with the aphorism, “The whole is more than the sum of its parts.” As an inter-faculty organisation the Leibniz School of Education continually works on linking the various subjects involved in teacher education. Concrete measures towards this goal are:

  • Discovering and informing partners about about third-party-funded research projects;

  • Accompanying interdisciplinary and inter-faculty grant applications through the use of content-oriented and organisational support.

The Leibniz School of Education supports young scientific professionals in the field of Educational Research. We are currently setting up a graduate program for research in teacher education as part of the project “Leibniz Prinzip”. Through the funding of cooperative doctoral projects, the current reforms taking place in teacher education can thus be supported by insights won from research and even spur on further projects in the research of teacher education. The “Leibniz-Prinzip” is an enterprise of the Bund-Länder-Initiative Teacher Education funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
